The “Task-Force Publication – Nature Research” project continues to develop at the Nancy University Hospital.
The 3rd edition of the Nature Academies will be held on June 25 and 26, 2026, at the Brabois Santé Campus – Lecture Hall 400, Faculty of Medicine, Midwifery, and Health Professions, Nancy.
Following the success of previous sessions, this new session will be organized around two workshops (Detailed programs are available for download in the attachments) :
Academic Presentations Workshop (day 1 – 25 June) :
This one-day workshop equips participants with the skills to communicate their research effectively at conferences at all career stages, from first poster presentations to invited talks. The programme covers choosing the right conference and when to present (before or after publication), designing clear and impactful posters, structuring compelling slide presentations around a logical storyline, PowerPoint tips for professional-looking slides, and delivering presentations with confidence through effective verbal and non-verbal strategies. Interactive activities include group discussions on promoting published work, preparing a 30-second elevator pitch, revising slides based on workshop content, and a final presentation exercise with peer feedback.
Participants will need to bring their laptop with three prepared slides (an introduction slide, a figure/data slide and a conclusion slide) for use in group activities.
Grant Writing Workshop (day 2 – 26 June) :
This one-day workshop provides participants with a structured approach to writing competitive funding applications at all career stages, from first doctoral grants to large-scale collaborative programmes such as Horizon Europe. The programme covers understanding the expectations and challenges of funding agencies, identifying an important and feasible research question with broader societal impact, writing effective summaries that capture the attention of funding committees, preparing a background section that establishes the significance of the topic, structuring clear aims and presenting a credible research plan with expected outcomes. A group activity allows attendees to share their proposal and receive feedback on feasibility, significance and societal impact.
Two expert trainers from Nature Research Academies will be speaking : Dr Jeffrey Robens et Dr Harry Shirley.
This edition is open to a wide audience involved in clinical and academic research, including Residents, ACC-AHU, PHU, doctoral students, affiliated researchers and methodologists, PH, faculty members from the BMS division, MCU-PH, and PU-PH.
The maximum number of participants is set at 100.
