Grand Est Region

The partners of the Grande Région, the Grand Est Region, the Länder of Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate, Luxemburg and the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, are working to develop and strengthen cooperation in higher education and research. Under the French presidency of the Greater Region 2021/22, a new call for applications was launched on 15 April for a research support scheme aimed at highlighting scientific excellence in the Greater Region and generating new synergies in the research sector.

The scheme supports actions aimed at disseminating the results of research projects in progress and scientifically validated, in the Greater Region. Eligible actions are, for example, cross-border workshops, scientific colloquia, exchange activities between research teams, companies and civil society, written productions published for example in Open Access, etc. Eligible actions must have a cross-border orientation and provide demonstrable added value for the Greater Region. The maximum funding per project will be €5,000.

A first call for applications organized in 2020 granted support to 3 projects of excellence from the social sciences and humanities, health and digital. The closing date of the call has been set for July 15, 2021 with the announcement of the results in the 2nd half of 2021. Applicants are invited to send a copy of their application to the Greater Region at drv-sdar-contact [arobase] univ-lorraine [point] fr.
