As part of the TRAPPS project, Vincent Guillin  (UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal) will give a lecture on evaluating the effectiveness of biotherapies in IBD, at the intersection of philosophy of science and medicine.

The goal is therefore to understand not only whether a treatment works, but also why.

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for workshop 289 on epitranscriptomics, entitled “Unlocking the potential of epitranscriptomics: a workshop at the cutting edge of innovation,” sponsored by INSERM. During this workshop, participants (researchers, technical staff, and doctoral students) will acquire theoretical and practical skills in epitranscriptomics, including fundamental knowledge of RNA modifications, case studies in biological and medical contexts, and cutting-edge techniques such as RNA sequencing (short and long reads) and mass spectrometry.

The Cytometry Platform at the Brabois Santé campus and the IMoPA laboratory (team 6) are organizing a symposium on cellular metabolism, to be held on Monday, December 8, 2025.
Coordinated by Prof. Natalia De Isla and Dr. Huguette Louis, this event aims to bring together the campus's scientific community, highlight the diversity of local expertise, and promote discussion on analytical and methodological approaches dedicated to the study of cellular metabolism.

The CARE IN HEALTH SYMPOSIUM – Advancing Science for Patient Care will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Centre Prouvé in Nancy.

Organized by the team led by Magnus BÄCK, this event will be an important opportunity to discuss the European CARE-IN-HEALTH project and present the latest advances in resolving inflammation in the prevention of cardiovascular disease.

The BMS division is organizing an afternoon presentation of the 2025 incentive projects on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the LEPOIS Amphitheater of the Faculty of Medicine in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy.

The program is available for download.

As part of the REIL project, an information meeting will present the European strategy for the Lorraine site and Horizon Europe, the European Union's framework program for research and innovation.

This meeting will offer an introduction to European funding programs and the European dynamics of the site within the health community.

The Imaging platform of the Service Mutualisé de Plateformes IBSLor (Pôle scientifique BMS) and the RemPaCOAT team from UMR7365 IMoPA are organising an imaging symposium on 7 October 2025 from 2pm to 4.30pm. This event will take place at the Biopôle - Room 1A10.

The programme is as follows:

1) The different photon imaging modalities offered by the platform: MIcroscopy and Macroscopy & Multiphoton Multimodalities.

2) The latest technological advances from Leica Microsystems:

The Infiny University Hospital Institute, dedicated to chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), is hosting its annual scientific event in October: FUTURES 2025 Days, centered around two key events.

October 15, 2025 : Annual scientific symposium

The first International Apnea Congress will be held on November 7 and 8, 2025 at the Faculté des Sciences du Sport - Amphithéâtre STAPS in Villers-lès-Nancy.

The event is organized with the support of the Université de Lorraine, the Faculté des Sciences du Sport and AIDA International, as well as the involvement of numerous students and volunteers.

We are delighted to welcome Bertrand SERAPHIN, CNRS Researcher at the Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology (CNRS/Inserm/University of Strasbourg), for a talk on the mechanisms of RNA translation and degradation.

This presentation will explore the intersections between these two fundamental processes in molecular and cellular biology.

The lecture will take place on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm, in the Lepois amphitheater, Brabois-Santé Campus, Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy.
