In his will dated November 9, 1989, Mr. Michel WITTNER decided to allocate the income from the capital he bequeathed in equal parts to the Fondation de France, the Faculty of Medicine of Nancy, and the Conservatory of Music of Nancy.
Consequently, as every year, an annual “Lydie and Michel WITTNER” research prize is awarded in the fields of cancer, heart disease, rheumatology, infectious or contagious diseases, or other conditions that are not yet curable.
For the year 2025, the Scientific Council has decided that the sum of €10,000, which may be divided into several parts, will be awarded preferentially to students completing their university theses.
This award is not open to doctoral students who are physicians with a position in a hospital or university hospital.
