A position of research engineer in protein and RNA biochemistry (one-year renewable contract) is available in the Structural Biology of the Cell laboratory, located at the École Polytechnique (Palaiseau).
The person recruited will prepare proteins or multi-protein complexes involved in the translation and degradation of messenger RNA. These samples will allow the study of interactions between factors essential to these processes by biochemical (pull-down, enzymology) and biophysical (fluorescence, microcalorimetry, ...) techniques but also structural biology (X-ray crystallography). The engineer will also be involved in the development of RNA binding and degradation assays as well as in cell biology experiments.
The contract is expected to start on December 1, 2022.
