Centre de Ressources Technologiques (LE MANS)

The CTTM is an association labelled CRT (Centre de Ressources Technologiques) created in 1991. The role of the CTTM is to support companies in their R&D and innovation processes by providing standard or customized services and to innovate in terms of products and processes. The Biological and Medical Engineering Pole and the Design Engineering Pole have been working together for 7 years on a research project whose objective is to produce cartilage by 3D printing. Within the framework of this project, hydrogels have been developed and optimized to be printable.

Subject of the internship: The presence of some constituents in one of the formulations requires a prior encapsulation of the cells in order to protect them. In order to avoid this encapsulation step, a modification of the original formulation is necessary. The aim of the internship is to work on the replacement of some constituents of this hydrogel in order to improve the biocompatibility of the formulation.
