At the end of 2023 (07/12/23), Université Lorraine welcomed at the IJL the first new-generation 200 kV GlaciosTM cryo-electron microscope in the French academic world. This powerful microscope represents a tremendous opportunity to understand the workings of living organisms, thanks to observations at near-atomic resolutions, in order to meet global health challenges such as the fight against COVID-19.

Thanks to the financial supports of Europe (FEDER), the Grand-Est Region, the Université de Lorraine, the Pôle BMS, the UAR IBSLor and the IMoPA laboratory.
